GOVERNING BOARD

Governing Board

HURDO is governed by its constitution that conforms to the national and international Legal requirements of non-governmental organization as well as fully respects the code of conduct of international humanitarian agencies and human rights conventions signed by the states of the United Nations.

HURDO is composed of two organs, the Board of Directors (BOD) and Programming organ. The BOD is the highest governing body of the organization, BOD design and develops the policies and procedures of the organization, fundraising and participates in setting the long- and short-term strategies together with organizational staff. The BOD meets every three months and informal meetings if need be. The BOD is composed of 5 persons and it elects its director and its member in every two years and decisions is reached through votes according to the organizational constitution.

 

Board of Directors Mandate

Membership to the Board is purely voluntary with no remuneration attached to membership to the Board. The Board of Directors has the following mandate;

(i) The board of directors (the “Board”) of HURDO (the “Organization”) is appointed to supervise the Organization’s programs and affairs.

(ii) The primary responsibility of the Board is to foster the long-term success of the Organization in a manner that recognizes the interests of the Organization’s clients and employees.
